SILKYPIX Developer Studio Pro adds new functions that were highly desired in addition to the rich features of SILKYPIX so far. I discoverd it in SP7, and kept SP7 when SP8SE did not have it.ДЄs the owner of SP8SE and SP9, I consider the $37 to be money well spent, and I am retired now, so money is tight.SILKYPIX Developer Studio Pro 11.0.4.1 macOS Partial corrections can save an image that has problems. The free SP8SE is a dynamite app, but I upgraded to SP9 to get the partial correction. I don't feel the need to get the V9 offer but it has been useful to know about. Some stuff still missing, but a fantastic product for the cost of nothing. I've liked the SilkpyPix version which came with the camera for quite a while as it is the best of all my RAW software for getting good Noise/Sharpening results from my TZ and FZ200 cameras but the free V8 software is a massive improvement particularly with the introduction of spot (healing) and HDR functions.

I only found out about this in the last couple of days with people here talking about the V9 special offer.

Looks like the SilkyPix Pro 9 maybe a a good deal at the price, but were you aware that you can get V8.0.3.2 Developer SE version for free frome here: One area they picked was that SP for Panasonic will only see images made with Panasoniccameras. To give us SP for Panasonic at such a low price, Ichikawa Soft Labs had to lighten the load somewhere. Or am I only able to use the Silkypix for Panasonic be it raw or JPGs? Thanks very much.ДЄlmost forgot, if I download Silkypix for Panasonic, in my case I have the FZ1000 - is it possible to edit JPGs taken from other cameras? For example, a Nikon Coolpix p900 that does not shoot raw. It does seem like it should do what I am interested in doing for a very reasonable cost. Great! I thought it should work like that, but thought it better to check. For the price Silkypix Panasonic is very good That is what I did, I had no previous version installed and all went well.

Yes you can just install the latest Panasonic version, play with it to be sure it does what you want then purchase it for the discount price. But this app is intuitive enough that I spent my first few years without looking at a manual.

It is rich enough that I am taking the time to go through the software manual methodically. Overall, I am quite satisfied with Silkypix. It comes in six flavors, each with its own slider. Certainly their Dodge / Burn / HDR feature is interesting. I will say that their Contrast feature seems to outperform the image editors I have used. I think this ability to save various versions may be a unique feature, here. Or you can put the corrections in temporary storage and compare the various images, pick which one you want, and continue from where you were without having to recreate everything you did. When you save the corrections you can name it whatever you want. Playing around, I was able to erase some spots where the snow shown through, and the rightmost of the three stone faces to the left of center - all with the adjustable spot remover.ДЄlso, since the underlying raw image is not touched, you can save your 'corrections,' zero out back to the original, bring the corrections back. I did have to brighten the image by a stop. This shows the cropping I did in SP9, along with a touch of the Clarity slider, a lot of the Dehaze and HDR. Pretty drab, eh? But there is a lot of data hidden in a raw file. What has impressed me the most across the years has been the evolution of Silkypix form a mere raw converter to an image editor that works in raw.
